The accomplishment of passionnate winemakers

Jamie marfell

Petit cordon winemaker

Winemaking was an inevitable career choice for Jamie Marfell who grew up on a farm overlooking a valley of grapevines in Marlborough and whose holiday employment was usually spent planting or pruning vines, depending on the season. Now with more than 25 years of wine-making expertise both in New Zealand and Europe, he has developed an extensive knowledge of the Marlborough soils and grapes.

Didier Mariotti

Chef de caves of champagne's maison mumm

Didier Mariotti has been Maison Mumm Cellar Master for more than 10 years. By entrusting Didier Mariotti, then aged 35, with the responsibility for vinification in 2006, Maison Mumm placed its faith in the younger generation and recognised the precocious talent of its current Cellar Master. The latest in a line of passionate men responsible for crafting the House style, he leverages the expertise handed down by several generations of Cellar Master who have shaped the House style. Both the guardian and the beneficiary of this heritage, he adds his own experience and savoir-faire to the House style.
